I'm Tracee Yablon-Brenner, RD, BCHHC — a Natural Nutritionist who teaches people the importance of
eating real food like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, plus an assortment
of delicious herbs and spices. I want you to understand the incredible benefits they have on the body.
Cooking is one of the most valuable tools we have, because it's both fun and interactive! This makes for a much
more powerful experience than traditional teaching.
My goal is to teach you to make the connection — why it is important for us to know where our food
comes from — the farm to the table. I also strive to teach you about the energy the food carries,
and why eating seasonally locally grown or flash frozen food is vital for a healthy body.
Over the past 40 years as a society, we have lost sight of the connection to where our food truly comes from,
and how it positively fuels the body. Our society has not benefited from eating The Standard American Diet,
as is evidenced from the skyrocketing rise in Childhood Obesity, Type2 Diabetes, and high blood cholesterol
in children in recent years. These conditions could be prevented by learning the benefits of eating a
nourishing diet in childhood, and the role diet plays in good health throughout a lifetime.
Consumer Education is quite important: Our children are enticed by advertising campaigns at a young age
through TV and menu selections at Fast Food and Family Restaurants. It is important to sift through the
news hype and see what, in fact, is healthy nourishing food.
